how to sync backwards

What is the easiest way to replace my current out of date address book on my computer with the address book on my iPhone. I don't want to sync or anything i just want my computer to mirror the contact list of my iphone and then sync afterwards.

I'm using leopards and at the moment I have a few contacts on my address book. If I clear my address book on my mac and sync my iphone will that work fine ?

I don't think you'll need to delete any of the details on your computer - when syncing it should replace old data with updated versions, whether the newer info is on your iPhone or Mac.

As chilipie said, its a sync, meaning it syncronises your data between the two devices.
