How to sync iPad + iPhone to iTunes?

I have an iPad 2 with several apps and I sync it regularly with iTunes.

I plan to buy an iPhone soon. Will I be able to use iTunes to transfer my apps?

I am do not have much experience with iTunes. Your guidance would be appreciated.

Sure! As long as your iPhone and iPad use the same Apple ID, you will be able to share applications, music, etc. on both.
