Hi!

I have an iMac that has a defective usb ports on the backside and am wanting to sync my iTunes music over to my iPhone seven plus. for the longest time I've been using airdrop for photo and other file syncing but am really wanting my music on my iPhone.

any guidance in the right direction is super appreciated.

You do need a working USB port to setup wifi syncing. Once it’s done, you are good to go, as stated by other members. Keep in mind that your router determines your sync speed.
