How to tell how much memory is left on my macbook

Ok, so ya'll know how when an iPod is plugged in, it shows how much memory is left? Is there somewhere on my Macbook that shows how much memory is left (unused)? Thanks! 🙂

On the desktop click once on your hard drive icon, then press Command-I. This will open a new window. It'll say Used and Free in there near the top.

Thank ya'll! I was just wondering because earlier, I tried to copy and paste something from the internet to Word, and it said there was not enough space left...Even though when I just looked at it, it said there was 127.8 GB left. Again, thank ya'll! 🙂
