iPhone 7/Plus How to tell what bluetooth codec phone is using?

Is there a way to tell what bluetooth codec(SBC or AAC) on my iPhone 7 plus is sending to my headphones(MDR-1000X)?

Download the Sony headphones app from the App Store. When you run the app with your headphones on it will say either SBC or AAC. Apart from that there is no other way to tell. Mine defaults to AAC, I have the Sony 1000XM2.

Thanks. I don't think that app supports he MDR-1000X.
