how to tell what screen tech you have?

how do you find out what screen technology your mac book air is using?

i clicked on about this mac and it says built in colour lcd display :/

i have a late 2011 model. I thought they used LED..?

Yes, they use LED as backlight and LCD as display technology.

Eventually they will, if they do it this year is not known yet.
