How to tell whether I have Leopard or Snow Leopard?

Ok I just checked it states 10.6.1.

I'm going to assume it's Leopard. I just got this a couple days ago. Shouldn't I have received Snow Leopard? Where can I get it?

10.6.x is Snow Leopard.

As r.j.s said, Snow Leopard is installed on your machine. It also came on the system disks that came with your system. Save them; they are important.
