The M1 is the way to go. Whoever still buys an Intel Mac at this point is... okay, I keep the word first to avoid the crap storm coming at me.I don't get why people would get the Intel MacBook Pro 13" or Intel Mac mini over their Apple Silicon counterparts. Because even apps that are not Universal, Rosetta does a perfect job at translating. The only real reason to get an Intel model of these machines is to run BootCamp.

Read my earlier message. Why does it say universal? They didn't compile with PowerPC and 32-but Intel, did they?
Parallels does not currently run on M1 Macs. They say that the new version is in active development and it will support the M1. That means that if you must run Windows apps that don't have a Mac version then you might want to wait and see. Rosetta 2 allows the M1 Macs to run Mac software designed for the Intel Macs, not Windows software. You might also look over what the Crossover team is doing if that's something that you need.Question, If I have a M1 system.. Do I need Parallels?
