10600s-9-10-fp - This is what was on the OEM ram Brand is hynix
10600s-9-10-b1 - This is what is on my 3rd party ram

Anyone know the difference?

No, does not mean anything. TechTool cannot test protected memory from other applications or from the Mac OS X kernel, so this "memory test" is useless.

How come? I thought techtool is reliable? is it the same with the hardware test?

Cheers

AHT is efi-based, on Intel-Macs. So it requires only a very small amount of RAM (i think a few MB). So Apples Hardware Test (AHT) can test much more memory than other solutions. How reliable it is? I do not know, because AHT is not open source.

Hey guys, so I ran Rember to test my 8GB Corsair RAM that I purchased recently and got an error when I ran the test.

I performed the test 3 times, and I got an error 2 times out of 3.

1 Loop: no error.
3 Loops: error.
4 Loops: error.

Here's what I got:

Does that mean I have faulty RAM?
