How to test for bad ram?

Im sure it is not completely useless, otherwise it wouldn't be on there.

Good suggestion, but I watch a lot of flash videos, so not really feasible.

How come? I thought techtool is reliable? is it the same with the hardware test?

AHT is efi-based, on Intel-Macs. So it requires only a very small amount of RAM (i think a few MB). So Apples Hardware Test (AHT) can test much more memory than other solutions. How reliable it is? I do not know, because AHT is not open source.

Hey guys, so I ran Rember to test my 8GB Corsair RAM that I purchased recently and got an error when I ran the test.

I performed the test 3 times, and I got an error 2 times out of 3.

1 Loop: no error.
3 Loops: error.
4 Loops: error.
