How to toggle between Siri AI and ChatGPT?

I was able to redirect a complex query in the Siri App to ChatGPT by pressing somewhere, which bought up a selection menu. But I am not able to replicate it anymore. How does one switch between Siri AI and ChatGPT in the Siri App?

PS: Siri seems excellent for stuff like health, diet, general queries, but cannot solve multi-step technical queries. And I would rather keep everything within the same app.

Found it, you need to long press in the text box, select “Ask” and then it lets you select the extension.

As far as I can tell, Siri AI is entirely separate from ChatGPT. There is no toggle as ChatGPT isn't being used at least within the Siri AI App.

Based on how it was integrated into iOS 26, I would guess that it may be tapped into if you ask details about something that Siri AI doesn't have access to information for and then hands off, but I have yet to see that happen in iOS 27.

That’s not correct, see my screenshot above. You can seamlessly toggle between Siri AI and ChatGPT within the Siri app, which I am doing for complex technical questions, now.

I hope they add more extensions in the future.
