In a few threads, people have noticed that if Apple is shipping you an Apple Watch via Mail Innovations (a service handled by UPS), you can actually track your package using your contact number and order number.

Many of us have noticed that there will be a shipment created through Mail Innovations, despite the Apple Store order page showing shipping dates being all over the place.

How do I track my package if being shipped through Mail Innovations?

1.) Navigate to THIS link.

2.) Select "Track by Reference"

3.) Populate the fields as follows:

Shipment Type: Mail Innovations
Shipment Reference: Order Number (starts with W) OR Contact Phone NUmber (both worked for me, if you use your contact number do NOT include the dashes)
Shipment Date Range: Select 4/24 - today's date (you can't select a future date)

In the end, who knows how reliable the actual date range on Mail Innovations is. However, clearly the shipping date ranges on the Apple Store order page haven't been very informative nor accurate. At the very least, you can take comfort in the thought that a shipment has been created for your order.

I had to use my email but this is the first bit of info I could find about my order!

So what does it mean?

This is what I got too when I used my phone number.

I tried it again now and it still worked. Try using your order number and just copy and paste it to be sure.

Interesting. My shipping date range is 3/27-4/24.

Eeep! This actually worked!

My 38m SA white that I ordered 4/15 is showing up using this method, but my 38mm SA blue that I ordered yesterday is not. Both are still "processing" according to Apple. Very interesting.

Edit: Only worked using the order number from Apple, not my phone number.

Edit 2: It seems, after refreshing, it randomly works or does not work. Actually both of my orders sometimes show up.

Edit 3 (I'm on a roll here): It appears you can enter anything and it will also sometimes work. So I don't think this actually does anything. And if I recall, Mail Innovations is when UPS hands it off to the postal service, which doesn't make sense.
