How to transfer iTunes library from PC to Mac

Hi, I have an old Dell Inspiron which I am ready to dump. My new Mac is arriving on Friday and would like to know how to transfer all my iTunes music to my new computer.

I cannot possibly use the Mac Transfer program or whatever they call it right? It is only for Mac to Mac as far as I know.

If you are getting the new Mac OS Lion, I think there might be a feature to transfer your PC data to your new Mac.

However, you can use some third-party applications to easily move your iTunes library from PC to Mac. Just refer to the following blog for a guide:

You are correct on this. As for self-transferring, use an external hd if you have one readily available.
