SisterBlue22 macrumors demi-goddess Sep 17, 2016 #6 Flip the silent switch on the side, take your photo, flip the switch back. Unless you're in Japan or any other country that requires the shutter sound regardless of whether the phone is on silent, I think that's the only way to do it.
