why don't you just use Ustream and make it a password protected stream so it's not the LONGEST. SKYPE Call. EVER. ?

it's a lot easier and if you install the Ustream desktop software you can monitor from your mobile.

Also so you don't have to keep that window open ALL the time, you can just login to the stream and check it whenever.

Hey, thanks for the reply - will that help? I thought screen burn was caused by prolonged display of non-moving images.

Screen burn is only an inherent problem with CRT monitors. They have a phosphorous coating that was prone to burning in a stationary image.

Likewise screensavers really don't serve a real function anymore, except to be pretty looking.

I use an app called icam which lets me sleep the display, also takes pictures and push notifications to my iphone of any movement.
