If I touch the button to disable 'Simple Passcode,' it asks me to 'Enter the passcode on your Apple Watch to change it.' If I enter my passcode on my watch, the watch asks me to enter 'new passcode.'

I cannot turn it off. I can only change the passcode. I cannot turn 'wrist detection mode' off, either.

Please help...

PS. I failed uploading a video recording of my iphone screen. I uploaded a couple of screenshots instead.

I'm not sure if you are using Apple Pay with this watch or not. I believe it is a requirement to have a passcode and wrist detection on if you have Apple Pay enabled. Can anyone else confirm?

I don't use Apple Pay with it.
I did not want to set up 'passcode' at all. But, Apple Watch insisted. It said 'your iphone has a policy that requires a new passcode.'

This sounds like the problem, then. Do you use your phone to connect to your work/corporate resources such as email, etc?

If so, your iPhone might have been enrolled into your work’s mobile device management (MDM) system which has enforced a security policy that requires password usage.

If this is the case, you will have to comply with any password stipulations if you want to continue accessing those work/corporate resources.

In case you are stuck with having to use a passcode, I noticed that you don’t have unlock with iPhone enabled. It’ll save you a lot of hassle and you’ll barely notice that your watch even has passcode enabled.

I had that system in my previous work. I think I still have it on my phone? Now, I need to find out how to get rid of it.
Thanks for your input !

I will try that ! Thanks for the tip !

Have a look on your phone under Settings, General, Profiles. If you see an MDM profile under there from your previous employer (it should be clearly named), tap Remove Profile.

If you’re unsure, don’t remove anything under there until you’ve done a bit more research.
