I'm troubleshooting an issue with Safari, and I want to remove all extensions to see if that fixes the issue. I've already disabled them, but I want them completely uninstalled to remove them from the equation, so to speak.

However, it looks like I cannot install the extension without uninstalling the associate application. I get a message telling me to uninstall the application when I click "uninstall" on an extensions. This issue would make me remove 6 daily driver applications and then go through the setup process for each one after I am done troubleshooting.

I use 1Password constantly, so having it uninstalled would be inconvenient, to say the least. You might as well uninstall my keyboard at that point.

Is there a work around for uninstalling extensions that allows you to keep the application installed?

Evironment:
macOS 10.15.7
Safari 14.0.1
