Carrier How to Unlock/Upgrade AT&T Next 6S+?

I really want a 7+, but just got a 6S+ on NEXT last year. I have tried twice to slip it past AT&T's unlocking portal on their website. Both times I was rejected. I also tried to have an unlocking service do it, but it failed.

I was hoping to sell it unlocked, in order to be able to pay down my NEXT plan and buy a 7+ on a new one.

Are there any other options? Anyone...

UPDATE (and BUMP for really busy day):

I decided to list it on Swappa. If it sells for enough to make my out-of-pocket tolerable, I'll do it.

I actually called AT&T and they put in the request manually. They told the system that I was going on an overseas trip. That was several months ago and my phone was/is still under Next.

Can't hurt to try.
