I have a magic mouse, which is paired to a Mac Pro which is on a truck about 2000 miles away. I want to pair it to my Macbook Pro which I have with me.

How do I pair the mouse to the Macbook Pro without unpairing it from my Mac Pro?

As long as the MacPro is not in bluetooth range, you shouldn't need to unpair it. MAybe just try to pair on your MacBook Pro and report result?
Doesn't work. I just get stuck on this screen:

And the Magic mouse keeps blinking like its looking for its Mac Pro. The mac pro is off, in a truck, in a different country. How is this possible?

Last time this happened, I remoted to my Mac Pro using Back to My Mac and unpaired it using Screen Sharing, but I can't do that now because the Mac Pro is off. It worked like magic last time though.

I don't know then. Can you try taking the batteries out of your mouse for a few minutes and putting them back in and trying it?

Fix to unfair magic mouse without access to paired computer

Hey,

I know this is ages on but this will help as i couldn't find a fix for this anywhere until i went on live chat with apple. You need to do the following:

- turn off the mouse
- take out the batteries
- open bluetooth preferences, make sure there is no mouse paired. if there is click remove.
- put the batteries back in the mouse and switch it on. you'll see a light flashing that indicates its in pairing mode.
- in bluetooth preferences, click pair. The mouse should connect!

hope this helps
