iPod touch How to update iPod Touch name

I giving my Touch to my son who's off to Uni and want to change the name that I added during the initial sync with iTunes. Reseting / deleting the pod's contents does not change this.

Anybody know how you can update this or maybe return the Touch to it's state before connection to iTunes.

Open your iTunes and connect the touch, under Devices double click the device name for you to rename it.
