I searched, I did not find, so I'm posting

If I already have the iPod Touch 1.1.3 firmware downloaded, and want to use the Dev team jailbreak, but want to use the file I've already got, instead of having to download it AGAIN, how exactly do I do that?

remember I want to use the OFFICIAL DEV TEAM jailbreak method, preferably the one on installer, but avoid re-downloading the firmware I already have. Possible?

(Crosses Fingers)

I can't help you exactly, but before the Installer version of the upgrade came out, you could get the install script, and comment out the lines where it downloaded it. So assuming you placed the firmware in the right spot/name, it found it and continued.

I'm not sure how the current/newer versions do it though - it may simply be a similar matter of placing it in the right place, and hopefully they check for it before downloading.

I'd check out the hackintosh forums, I'm sure the info is there somewhere (might be hard to find though!).
