how to use hard drive as camera storage

I was wondering if it is possible for me to use my Olympus Stylus while it is hooked up to my computer. I don't have a memory card for the camera and wanted to do a time lapse from my window.

check the software that came with your camera.
if it supports it chances are they included the software on the disc

iphoto should be able to import immediately upon you taking a picture. Try it with iphoto open.
