iPod touch How to use iMessage

Hi,

Anyone know how iMessage works? I'm a noob.

Open Messages, create new message, send message.

It's pretty straightforward.

And make sure "iMessages" are set to "ON" in settings.

its like a normal sms, put in the persons number/name your are sending it too, start to type the message if send button turns blue its a imessage becasue the phone has established the reciever is on iOS 5, if the button stays green its using a sms

For an iPod touch, you can only send to someone running IOS 5 since the Touch can not do sms (i.e. it gives you an error indicator if the person you are sending to isn't on IOS 5).

For an iPod touch, you can only send to someone running IOS 5 since the Touch can not do sms (i.e. it gives you an error indicator if the person you are sending to isn't on IOS 5).

opps my bad i seen the thread title on the main screen and didnt notice the category,

I hate Apple-only stuff like this and FaceTime. Seems a little short-sighted on Apple's part.

Just open the message on your home screen and send a message to a device running on iOS 5. It just works.🙂
