Hi all,
I have an iPhone 3GS with 6.1.3 installed on it. Right now when I plug it into my computer, I get the "We're sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation at this time." The sim card holder is missing and I would just like to use the iPhone as an iPod. I've tried to hactivate it, however this is proving impossible, since the power button is broken and I can't enter DFU mode. I can't enter it using a custom ispw either, since there is no restore option in iTunes.

If anyone has any suggestions at what I should try next, that would be great.

What carrier is the iphone locked to?
Just stick in a sim for a minute in order to activate and get you into the homescreen.
Then the phone will be activated for good.
