Hi, I run a small trading company and have recently installed a high speed internet for my business. I found it very useful as I need to frequently send and receive files of over 100MB and I can now send one in 5-10 minutes. Just yesterday I realized that my home internet connection is slow compared to what I have in my office.

I wonder if I could somehow network my MacBook Pro at home to my iMac at the office and make use of my office's internet fast connection since I have already paid for it monthly I might as well use it at night time? The internet isn't cheap and I don't want to install another expensive internet connection for my home.

Thanks for any help.

You could VNC to the iMac and then set the iMac to download stuff.

Thx Hellhammer. I'm not well versed in networking area, may I ask what's VNC? Virtual networking connection?? Is there a guide somewhere in this forum which I can refer to? Thanks again.:)

I think you could do with a different title, what you actually want to do is control one Mac from another, which I know can be done though I've never done it myself.

Once you can log in to your iMac from your MBP then you can work as if you were in the office.

Here's a tutorial I found that covers this in general but I'm sure there are many others.
