Really? Scanner Pro is still way better. the scan itself is darker and easier to read, it scans text (OCR) automatically so it is easily searchable and it saves as .pdf in any location you want.

This Notes version is ok if you don't have a better alternative but if you already have Scanner Pro, I wouldn't give it up. It's not even close to being half as good.
Thanks for your thoughts! I have been trying to decide between the two. I always like first party integration, but I imagine Scanner Pro will keep pushing the envelope faster. Do you know if they have access to the AR kit stuff for better scanning like notes?.

The Devs are pretty responsive if you want to ask them specific questions but you can read more about the updates here: https://blog.readdle.com/readdle-apps-get-amazing-ios-11-updates-b4a1adef4

All I do know is that is it a much much much better scanner than what Notes has.

I've used it for years and agree. I do a lot of facilitation and use it to scan flip chart notes and other documents we prepare during the sessions. I find its color and B/W conversion modes very useful as well.

I don’t have this option in my notes app. After creating a new note on my iPhone 6s iOS 11 there is no + above the keyboard.

You could do this too, which in my opinion is way simpler. :)
- Go to Settings, then scroll down until you see ‘Notes’. Click on it and you’ll see “On My iPhone” account section then turn it on. Come back to your notes app and you should see the ‘+’ sign.
!!Hope this also helps for those who still can’t seem to find the ‘+’ sign on any type of iPhone with iOS 11 ( < the one I’m currently in so you might want to update your iOS if needed, but if in previous built you saw the on my iPhone section then you should be fine. :)!!
