How to View File Transfer Progress?

Hi All,

I am a new Mac user. When transferring by "Copy" or "Paste" of folders & files from one location to another, how to I view the file transfer progress? It seems that a window shows up at the beginning, but disappears as soon as I activate another window. I can't bring it up again, where the next relevant window appears when the file transfer is complete.

The window does not go away, when you have a properly functioning OS. It may just be obstructed by another window, just activate Exposé via F3 and see where the window is.

That is how it looks on my Mac. (1.6MB .mp4 video with 800 x 500 pixel)
