Every year I watch it live then watch the replay that night again My wife calls me a nerd everytime but she knows how excited I get to watch it
I take it a step further - I watch the keynote, then rewatch it from the PoV of journalists and podcasters - TWiT's live stream reaction, and then I listen to podcasts: Upgrade from Relay.fm, ATP, and MacBreak Weekly.

Between all of this and the Platforms State of the Union, I am usually very fulfilled...

I do the same thing!

I've watched the TWiT commentary livestream of Apple Events for years... ever since they started streaming it.

And I also turn my iPhone Twitter notifications OFF during the livestream. Too many times I saw a notification on my phone a few moments before something was announced on the livestream. Kinda ruins the surprise of seeing it live.

:p

This is a good point. I usually just put my phone face down, so if I do get any push notifications from Twitter, I just don't see it :p

Yep!

It's usually when we're nearing the end of the segment while we're awaiting the price of some new Apple product...

...and then I see the Tweet from Nilay Patel or MKBHD spoiling the surprise! Damn those livebloggers!!!

🤣

i'm gonna watch when it's over so i can fast forwards everything that doesn't interest me.

My friends and I have always watched it live and then text as it plays sending comments and opinions about what we’re seeing.

When these were live onstage they would often start a few minutes after the hour. Now that they are pre-produced I like how they start precisely at the top of the hour. I listen to the music changing as my Watch (accurate to 50ms) approaches the top of the hour. Pretty cool that it is so precise.

Amazing how these have changed. 20 years ago we watched live keynotes from Japan. The resolution was low and often the feed would just stop. Now it plays just fine at HD resolution to millions of viewers around the world.

Just curious, does anyone know what the bit rate is of the stream? Since the entire event is pre-recorded I wonder if they push this out to services like Akamai ahead of time?

Is this when they could possibly announce the glucose level testing or would that be held off for the announcement of the watch? If it was to happen?

Watch the Keynote Using the Apple TV App

You can watch the WWDC keynote via Apple's TV app on Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, with the link in the TV app becoming available a few days before the event begins. …
That never happens here. The last 2 WWDC have never popped up „a few days before the event begins“. It‘s always the day of the event.

There is no WWDC 2021 listing or advertisement in my TV app yet.
