I am selling my MacBook Pro and wondering how to make it like new so I can sell it. Not sure with MacBooks like with Windows.
Windows? If you 8nstalled Windows via BootCamp you need to use the BootCamp assistant to delete the Windows partition. After that you can do a reset to factory in Mac.
Turn off Find my Mac on macOS (not sure if you need to do this, but just to be safe)
Reboot into recovery mode (cmd-r),
Open up Disk Utility and reformat the drive.
Close Disk Utility and install macOS

Secure erase is really bad for incurring unnecessary write cycles. I don't think its needed in this day and ageMake sure you do a "secure erase" un the Disk Utility as explained here
