iOS How to write sha1 algorithem for iphone

Hello Everyone, i am deepak, i am a new developer for iphone. I am going to make an application in that for user login form i want to use password encoding, so how can i use sha1 algorithem in iphone and how can i use web based xml request and responce in my application code.
Can any one please help me in this.

I'm not sure if you still need an answer or not, but NIST has a section on their site for hashing algorithms and their specifications.
