healthy on the inside

Mine is a little on the unhealthy side.

When I was in high school, I always ate really well...oatmeal, tuna sandwich/chicken pita, w/ a fruit, water, and protien supplements, and spent 4 days a week in the weight room.

Now, I am 21, any my daily diet looks similar to this:

Breakfast: Cereal

Lunch: Pizza (sometimes 2 slices) or chili or other soup

Dinner: Burrito, taco, or double cheeseburger

My diet has been this way ever since I started college.

The funny thing is, I have not put on any additional weight.

Sooner or later, I know my luck will run out, and getting back to the gym is something I really really wish I could do. So busy though :(

Hey
I'm new here so i'm not too sure where i'm ment to write. My name is Selena. My partner and i are both very much into healthy eating. We are always learning more - i guess you never stop learning. One thing i've learned is that you can be slim and still unhealthy on the inside. We need to take care of our insides. The affects of eating unhealthy may not show now but in a the future. Please mail me if you have any questions on healthy eating.

see you all later :)

I'm sure you don't have to "try" very hard. ;) You don't try, you succumb.

I can't believe how organized your eating habits are. I don't know what I usually eat on Thursdays, or on any other day. No schedule whatsoever.
It's really kind of strange - I went overnight from being totally random with everything to very routine oriented. I wear the same shirt, pants and socks to work each week (Monday clothes, Tuesday clothes, etc.). I generally have the same lunch. I do vary my dinner - we try to make 6 different things each week (I don't get home until 10pm on Thurs, so I go out to eat). That way I can explore different things. But, we tend to have repeats (like pasta). Surprisingly enough, it works out really well, since I can estimate my intake before dinner.

And I really don't succumb - I've gone days w/o ice cream because I don't feel like it or have time. But, I actively try to make sure I do. Sort of a treat for a good day.

Mmm... lemon cookies..... *looks around...doesn't see lemon cookies...must settle for ginger snaps*

bad for the cookies, good for you. lemon is a fruit, and you need several servings of fruit everyday. just follow it up with a loaf of pumpkin bread, and you are set.

Yes, however when they are combined with other sugar-laced fattening ingredients, it kind of defeats the purpose. It's like putting thick salad dressing on salads and calling it healthy. :p ;)

That all depends on whether you a call 15 piece bucket of KFC for dinner healthy:eek: , oh and don't forget the two large chips that come with it.

p.s i have only done this twice, i do not want to work out the calories and fat in it.

p.p.s i am trying to be healthier, i eat grilled salmon and salad alot now:)

Well, that just takes all the fun out of it, don't it?? ;)

I'm pretty good, I guess.
Other than that nasty school food and lack of exercise...

Breakfast: A 1/2 cup or so of milk with Cinnamon Toast Crunch (the best cereal ever)
Lunch: A slice of cheese pizza, a cookie, animal crackers, and strawberry milk
Dinner: whatever mom makes, often Persian food (lots of rice)

I do need to get outside more though

i agree. get rid of all the icky veggies and quit mucking up the salad. yummmmy, croutons with dressing.

Breakfast: what is this breakfast of which you speak?

Lunch: Next...

Dinner: 12" Subway veggie sub, 2 cookies and a cranberry, apple, or orange juice.

If there's food around the schhol, I'll hit up some of the teachers from time to time during the day.

Yes, get rid of the only healthy aspect of a salad besides the greens and replace it with white bread and sugar-laced fattening dressing which negates all nutritional value of the salad... :p ;)

very true.
i recommend coffee and cigarettes instead. non-carb, non-fat, and all vegetable (2 out of your 5 servings in one go).

Absolutely - that way you get about 600 chemicals all in one cigarette - a very efficient way of killing yourself, as opposed to trying to get your daily dose of poisons from multiple sources - I mean, who has the time? Still gotta watch out for the sugar though, as cigarettes contain sucrose octaacetate and sugar alcohols.

As for coffee, yep, another great drug - so great that if it were released today as a new substance, the FDA would ban it. Yummy! :D

what's a vegetable?

seriously my diet is chocolate... I need to eat something chocolate at least once a day or i will go insane!! I also eat chicken, pasta. Some salad depending on the restaurant (mostly caesar) The healthest thing i eat, i should say drink is smart water. Maybe i can invent the next iPod. I'm drinking some now. I tend to get the sport bottles cause its easy to carry to class :p ;)

I don't eat as healthy as I should.

I'll go for one-two days without eating, and then have a giant meal (restaurant only though, no fast food).

I get thirsty a lot too, but I don't like water that much, so I drink a lot of juice/tea/milk. Not as much soda as I used to. I still will have one once in a while though. (about once or twice a week)

(coffee is actually not as black as it's been painted, and may be quite beneficial, in moderation, naturally)

Anti-oxidents baby! But yea, some people just over do it, like a lot of other stuff. I don't drink cofee, I drink my tea.

No no, heroin is awesome as well.

And yes, I know about the benefits of coffee - in case you couldn't tell, I've just been being a bastard with my last few posts. :p :D

thank god for that. i was hoping to be the next William S. and you had me worried for a moment there. Now I just need to learn how to write and accidentally kill my wife.
