I downgraded from 16 to 13 mini briefly but the battery health and iOS 26 makes it suck so much ass. Battery goes down 18% in 45 minutes of cellular use and I was about to leave for a trip to Taiwan I didn’t trust the phone anymore. So I bought an air asap before the trip. I still use the 13 mini for videos from Apple TV I’ve bought but not my main phone. The battery sucks too much and the phone is constantly warm all the time when I use it. And I’m always charging it.

For a phone I bought used offer up for $500 years ago I got my money out of the 13.

This week I found myself in a position to purchase three more iPhone 13 minis. One in each storage configuration a Midnight 128GB, a Blue 256GB and a Midnight 512GB. All three are brand new, never used, never opened examples. Seals on all three device boxes are untouched/unbroken so I grabbed them😎

Wow you are very fortunate! That is quite the find! What are you going to do with so many phones?

I collect iPhones as one of my hobbies. These additions will go directly into my collection as I am keeping them unopened with seals intact. I already have two iPhone 13 minis that I cycle between, a Green 256GB and Blue 256GB, and use as my backup iPhone when I don't feel like carrying the larger Air or 17 PRO.

Funny thing is that I never looked at the iPhone 13 mini until this month and got my first 13 mini and began using it. I liked it so much that I decided to collect every iPhone 13 mini color in every storage configuration with genuine Apple packaging and unused cable accessories to build my iPhone 13 mini collection and then add these unused unopened examples to my collection with my original iPhone 2G 8GB and iPhone X 256GB devices.

I have the satisfaction of knowing I have every iteration of the iPhone 13 mini and can see them proudly displayed in my iPhone cabinet which I have been wanting to make for quite a long time.

Do you have every single iPhone variant in sealed original packaging? That would be a lot of phones! I read that an original sealed iPhone sold for $200k a few years back. Was that you that purchased it? 😎

I have one of each in sealed original unopened packaging for the 12 mini (256GB) and 13 mini (128GB, 256GB, 512GB).

As for my 13 mini collection, yes I have every color in every storage configuration however these devices are pre-owned iPhones I was able to source thru Amazon Premium renewed. I also got my blue 256GB 12 mini thru Amazon Premium renewed as well.

The unopened examples will also be showcased in my collection once everything has arrived. It has been a busy, but fun month for me 😎

I just want a nice one for a daily driver.
I don't blame you! You can still find nice ones even ones that are still in their original sealed Apple packaging... anything is possible.

I have two extra 256GB 13 minis I use as my backup iPhone, a Green and Blue iPhone. I really love how compact and light these iPhones are. Shame Apple decided to shelf this design as it is probably one of the best iPhones Apple has ever made in my opinion.

up until recently apple refurb still sold them. no. more :(

i hesitate to pay $400+ for a sealed one when the 17 is about $800; but i do like using a smaller phone.

I haven't downgraded, I just never stopped using mine. I have two phones, one personal and one for work. I switch between a 15 Pro for personal and a 13 mini for work daily and honestly enjoy them both for what they are. I prefer the smaller phone to slip into my pocket at work and not be noticed.

It really comes down to what iPhone you really want to use. Until recently, the 13 mini was never on my radar so to speak until this month when I got my Green 512GB 13 mini. I now get why there are people who really love using this iPhone. I have started to really appreciate what this iPhone brings to the iPhone experience.

Using an OGSE since 2017

I just saw an iPhone 13 mini red 512 in a sealed box for sale. It was listed for $1000! 🤣

Will will you do with the collection in the future? I assume the batteries will go to zero without any use and then the devices may be useless.

I recall someone collecting Swatches (plastic watches) in the 80s. A few years back, I found my old Swatch in a drawer. The plastic disintegrated in my hands! Not everything lasts.

The devices I have that are still sealed in their original Apple packaging will remain this way. Collectors are funny regarding devices that are still sealed in their original packaging. I am lucky in that I was able to secure the iPhone 12 mini 256GB, iPhone 13 mini (128GB, 256GB, 512GB) in their sealed never opened Apple packaging.

Then longer you go in years the harder it will be to secure these devices in their original sealed never opened packaging. This is why I got mine now. For me this is the icing on the cake so to speak regarding my entire iPhone 13 mini collection.

What I have propped up here are my entire 128GB collection of 13 minis in every available color at the time these were being sold. In back I have my 512GB and 256GB devices stacked up inside their boxes. The box on the top left is my Blue 256GB 13 mini in its sealed unopened packaging.

Amazon Renewed Premium . . . this is where I was able to source my iPhone 13 mini devices. The color coordinated boxes for each device were sourced on eBay click on the link below for the boxes.

The boxes don’t match the device by serial number or storage configuration but they are the right boxes for these devices.

. . . and a lot of patience finding all these devices. I’m glad I decided to do this . . .

In the UK you can buy 'New' 13 minis on Ebay (China) for around 300 quid.

I've bought 2 of them over the last 3 years - they aren't actually new of course, but they look and function exactly the same as new ones purchased from Apple.
A decent solution until Apple start making a phone again which isn't a phablet.

I recall I paid $250 for mine refurb (Red/128GB through Amazon but fun enough the seller was only a few miles from me). Other than a 90% battery life it was perfect (until I knocked it off the couch while playing with it on the first day). I did a full DFU reset/reinstall before using it.

As much as I like the Mini, I see no point in buying a used 13 Mini with 128GB storage and 80% (or less) battery for €300, and then shelling out another €100 for a new battery.

To each their own of course but mine cost me $270 w/tax and came with a 90% battery that gets up to 4 days on a full charge (100% -> 0% which I don't normally do so that's extrapolated from battery dropping 50% over 2 days [on iOS 18.7.x]). And with free space ~ 90GB, I wouldn't have bought more storage.

The only thing I would have paid more than that for is an even smaller phone (e.g. 2 cm shorter and 1.5 mm narrower bezels).
