Thinking about getting a mini since I have an iPad for travel. One of the appeals is that I could use my own mouse, keyboard, monitor of course but I personally cannot stand entering passwords now that I have fingerprint ID or face ID on other devices. Adding a touch ID surcharge to the mini makes it a bit more expensive too, so how well does it work? Flawless, problematic? I've heard bad things.

In my experience, flawless. Yes the decision is not one to take lightly as it is $$$ and really only available at the Apple Store or if available at other outlets, never discounted. I have the newest M1 Mac mini and just recently upgraded to Monterey and continue to have good luck with the keyboard.

I got mine yesterday. So far it's working great! Odd charging cable - USB-C to Lightening.

I'd highly recommend it!
