With the anticipation of the new .Mac update coming tomorrow, I got to wondering how Apple could use it to improve our iPhone experiences. I'd love to hear opinions or theories from those of you who know what can be done, and what should be done with this update.

maybe .mac syncing with the iphone? like if i add a new contact it can sync and save all my info which then keeps .mac my mac and my iphone synced...? that would be pretty cool of course this would include contacts and calendar items and so forth... kinda like the sidekick does in a way with the tmobile site

Besides the Yahoo Push Email, the iPhone definitely needs full over the air Sync of Calendar, Contacts and other items. Maybe instead of supporting other plateforms like Exchange and Blackberry Connect they are going to do it themselfs. However, I just looked at the cost and it seems pretty high. I have no problem paying for no ads but $99 per year seems pretty high.

I really hope for some integration with Google Docs. It would be great to put together business docs on my iMac at home and have them automatically sync with my iPhone with the ability to edit word and excel formats on the go.

I think any .Mac update announced will not have any immediate use on the iPhone but may be enabled later on with a new iPhone update. As they have said tomorrow is not iPhone related at all just Mac.
