I'm torn between a smart cover (doesn't add bulk and protects the screen) and this CaseCrown Bold Standby Case from Amazon (protects screen and back but adds bulk)

here is a pic

I had an XtremeMac micro folio for my iPad2 which I really like.

I'm hoping it still fits on the new iPad but with .5mm of extra thickness I dont know until I try it...

Black leather smart cover, SGP clear crystal for the screen, and Bestskinever for the back. Works well for me on the iPad 2 so I'm doing the same for the new iPad.

Btw, MacMall is selling the leather smart cover for $49.99 instead of $69 so if anyone is interested in having some $$$.

Thanks for the heads up. Do you know if this is a new promotion? I wish I knew of this last week when I bought my smart cover from apple.

Black leather smart cover and DODO BOOKback, carried in a sleeve when it leaves the house.

My XtremeMac Micro Folio for the iPad 2 DOES fit the new iPad!
It is a little snug but it fits just fine.

Saddleback Leather Ipad2 case. Read on their facebook page that the new IPad fit in their ipad2 case when he received his today. It's a great product and have been using my saddleback for almost 2 yrs and my ipad wouldn't be the same without this case.

Just with a Smart cover for the screen!

I took out apple care as I'd like this one to last the full 2 years. My ipad 1 crashes now whenever I push it too hard e.g. run an app that's fairly taxing or try to use multitasking gestures etc.

I have the attitude of, so long as the screen is fine, I'm happy. It's meant to be a usable working device, a platform, something that I can carry around, make notes, work and play on. I don't like the idea of buying something light and sleek and made of metal and then covering it in 1980s G-Shock style rubber.

Obviously if you're going to be chucking it around a bit or taking it out to the park or something then something more rugged might make sense
