Money isn't an issue, just wondering how much of an improvement would I see over the internal drive? Mostly doing video editing.

plan on using the Pegasus R6 in a raid 10 configuration.

Hi, I was testing the Pegasus Raid in a Raid5 Configuration with 6 Drives. Impressive Speed, and not louder than my MacPro.
Got Up to 500 Mb/s in both directions (Testing with a recent MacBookPro 13" 8GB Ram). Faster than my Raid0 in my Macpro with 3 fast Drives.
So if Money is not an Issue, go for it - if you have a Thunderbolt port. Unfortunately, my MacPro has not...

Lacie's Little Big Disk External SSD will do 480Mb/s reads when set up in RAID 0. If you need that kind of speed, then I'd get one. Totally lustworthy.

If you need 800Mb/s then get two of them... or 4 standard versions.
