if u came home to find out that your wife/mom/dad/sister/roomy who ever, threw your iPad box away thinking it was trash, now that the ipad had been taken out of it?

How would u feel if they even took the time to rip the corners and smash it down to make room in the garbage can? So finding it before the the garbage man came meant nothing because the box is now useless.
 
Angry only if the iPad was still in the box. Only mildly annoyed for an empty box (reselling when iPad 3 comes out is a little harder now).
 
I would be a bit angry. But then again, it's just a box. Don't worry about it.
 
I would probably stomp around the house waving my arms around wildly. I would probably cry and scream and then follow that up by inserting my thumb in my mouth.
 
I would be kind of upset but it isn't the end of the world.

I am sure that whoever did it didn't do it deliberately. And if you left it hanging around and it is just a box, it is easy to mistake it for trash.

Good call. Other option is to go postal before turning the gun on yourself. No other options in my opinion.

I guess we'll know which the OP chose depending on whether he posts again or not.
 
I always keep all my boxes so I would be pissed!!!! That's how you can tell a real Machead from from a trendy pretender. Real Macheads enjoy the unboxing experience, keep the box, and love the apple stickers. :)
 
I would be pissed. If you were going to resell it in the future (say, when the next iPad comes out)... tell your wife that it probably cost you about 10 to 25% of the resell value.

If you don't resell your stuff, then don't worry about it.
 
I'd feel like an idiot for not putting it away so no one would trash it.
 
Do you think its possible to salvage the irreplaceable residual magic pixie dust from the box? How wreakless!

You could probably find a replacement box for sale on eBay sooner or later?

It's definitely not worth getting blowing your top with your wife/mother, etc for a box... right? If they really feel bad, you might be able to have her foot the bill for this or some other box.

Bring it in to the genius bar and see if they replace it. I doubt it though since stomping is clearly outside the warranty.
 
Bummed but you should have either told them you intended to keep it or put it away for safe keeping.

Certain things, like just about EVERYTHING Apple I keep the boxes, manuals, disks, plastic, you name it -- for resale purposes.
