The TV app started as a mess in my mind, but it has gradually gotten better. I don't use it all the time, but if Apple implemented the following changes, it could be my go to hub for almost everything Apple TV related.

- Allow for a unified watch list. So you could add shows/movies from all your various services into a single list, rather than having a different watch list in every service.
- Get Netflix on board (long shot, I know)

What would you do to improve the TV app? Am I missing other good ideas?

Have profiles, similar to Netflix and Hulu.

The TV app is useless if multiple people are using one ATV.

Agreed. Seems simple enough.

For sports, I'b like to be able to view multiple feeds from multiple apps at once. The ESPN app and the Sunday Ticket app both do this, but only within the app.

Profiles, right, how did I forget that. I too would like multiple feeds from different apps. I couldn't watch a NFL and NHL game at the same time the other day, because they were being streamed in different apps.

One of the major reasons why I stopped buying content on my aTV is the fact that the purchased library part of the TV App sucks. It's the most unpolished interface I've ever seen, the left third of the screen is just wasted and there are no filtering options like watched or unwatched or anyway to just search within your own purchased content.

Apple are far more interested in pushing users into the store than giving us decent browsing and filtering of our own content.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean, you can already do this with the TV app. For example, while in the app you can use Siri to search for something. Say... a new show on NBC like Manifest. In the search results that slide up select the show, then select "Up Next." This will add it to your Watch Now list.

As for how I would improve the app, I would ask Apple to integrate the Computers app and allow us to view, watch and have access to all of our content (both purchased and local) in the TV app. Also, add support for playlists and allow editing of video content metadata in the cloud (I realize this latter is not necessarily exclusive to the TV app).

PIP for live content such as sports and news.

I would like to have more granular control over what gets added to Watch Now. For example, currently, if I open the ESPN app just to see what's on and video that plays gets added to Watch Now. I know it will eventually drop off, but I just don't want it to be added.
