I was attempting on removing scratches from my clear plastic iPhone case by using a pencil eraser. However, it left large streak marks and it made it even worse. How would I get them off? I tried toothpaste, soap and water but they are still there.

You need to polish the area with a compound that's a tad better than toothpaste. I remove small scratches on my phone screen and watch with 3 micron diamond paste. It's fine enough to not leave any trace but will smooth out the scuff marks from the eraser.
