How about typing in the MC number and it magically comes up as an iPad 2 VZW. This dude doesn't care enough to goto all the trouble to even attempt photoshopping a receipt lol.
I bet next you will claim he staged the table at Best Buy and paid them to set it up so he could post a story on MR?
@OP Congrats on the iPad 2, I've purchased a few original iPads as open box items and nothing wrong with turning your luck into a few bucks!

*** After reading this, I also checked for "open box" items at my local BB. They have a bulletin board like setup near the apple section that holds these. Alot of iPad (no 2's written). But seeing how his receipt said "iPad" and not "iPad 2", I am now wondering if a second visit to that bulletin board w/ a printout of desired SKU's isn't in order...

No way, go to SAMs cheaper iPad 1, I also read att is selling the 3G models much cheaper, second price drop since 2 launched.
I wish you guys could have seen the guy at the table looking at iPad 1s, when I yelled out to my wife that it was a iPad 2!! Man he wanted me to that box down so bad! when I went to return the xoom, I got the pic of the table it was no big deal...
For any one thinking of buying the xoom, try watching porn on it, and then the iPad, the iPad saturation and screen make it look great, the xoom made the people look like they were lacking oxygen, they were blue-ish... And if you really wanna blow the xoom out of the water, download air attack, on both tablets, and play them both at the same time, the iPad 2 speakers blow the xoom away, the xoom speakers were pathetic at best... BUT I love the honeycomb UI, and I think the galaxy tab or the toshiba tablet will be great!

It was just a test run, it was funny with everyone in the room. Really though, how can you enjoy it, when everyone in the film is blue, or looks like they are in Alaska.

Yes, however when you spoke, you assumed all stores are operating like yours, your store does not set the standard. I along with many others were surprised, including the manager, you are correct in a way, they were not suppose to sell it, that's why it was amazing, and lucky.

And I called the DM today, he gave me a $75 gift card since it was open box, and he's giving the store manager a write up..
Uh huh. Why would he tell you that he was going to write him up? I smell a freshly coiled BM in this story
Your right, the DM did not say this outright, but was pretty clear she would be taking action against a manager that took advantage of a customer, she was not robotic in her response, she was, or sounded, very concerned. So your right, I can't say in full certainty that a write up was the affect of her actions, but I'm pretty sure shell at least get a good butt chewing...
