Hows life without split keyboard?

i use it pretty much every single time I have to type anything so when I heard the new 11inch didn’t have it anymore, I was a bit concerned my typing experience would suffer. Hows everything going for you guys that used split keyboard and upgraded to the new pad?

If you are a regular user...it sucks. May revert back to my 10.5 tbh.

+1 for “it sucks”. It’s hard to type on it in portrait mode at all. I'm considering returning mine.

I never found it very useful for me so I don’t miss it at all. But obviously it’s going to be different for everyone.

I've been without the split keyboard since I started using a 12.9" in 2017, and it was one of the things I missed the most. I was highly considering going to the smaller model this time with that as one of the main reasons.

These new iPad Pros being even thinner and lighter, so often I'm holding one or the other and find myself stretching my thumbs across the screen to use the keyboard while in portrait. Really don't understand why they don't both have split keyboard for this kind of use.

I installed Tempest to restore the split.

I'd rate it a 6/10.

Has some nice themes and customization, but sometimes when I'm typing quickly it seems to lag.
