    Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

Compared to a mid 2010 MBP, what is the quality like?

It's not very clear and somewhat of a disappointment. I've used it twice just for testing and it's very grainy. The camera doesn't even take photos well, it's very low quality. Both cameras on my iPhone 4 are better.

Its the same VGA resolution as the frontface camera on the iPhone 4 I believe.

Quite a disparity in opinions. Any way we could get model/manufacturer numbers to see if there are different cameras being put in these MBAs?

Perhaps some photo comparisons? (MBA vs iPhone 4 forward facing camera)

It is just a mediocre VGA webcam, thats it. If you care about having a good webcam, you will be disappointed. If you never use the camera, you won't care.

It doesn't seem as good as my old MacBook's camera, but it works decently. Don't expect HD video calls or anything!

Is the quality noticeably on taking Photo Booth photos, that's what I mostly use it for.

I think it only has a 0.3MP camera... not very good.

Yes the poor quality is noticeable with Photo Booth.

If Apple Inc. had a conscious, the camera would be called embarrassing.

    No more VGA quality Apple!

Remove the VGA quality from your iSights and front facing camera on the iPhone 4!

    ...No rush :D

I think it does better under low lighting conditions than my MacBook.

I know it's a little thing, but I like that the light blends in with the bezel. Much more sleek than my old MacBook.

It is better than the webcam on the Sony Z and is the same one that have been in all revisions of the Air.
