To those who have had the Apple clear case for their iPhone XR since launch , how has it been holding up? Any signs of yellowing? Leaving any scratches? How’s the dust build up been?

I’m curious as well. Been holding off on purchasing until I hear it holds up better than my $10 Spigen.

Mine cracked in the corner the first time I took it off. Scratches are very minimal, but damn this thing is an absolute dust magnet if you pocket your phone regularly.

Mine is doing fine but the back always looks greasy from my fingers. Just wiped it off and tapped it with my fingertip. Left a perfect fingerprint on it. I purchased it so I would have protection from day one. On previous phones I used a Rhinoshield bumper case. No dust or crud under the cover. Only had it off a couple of times. Usually carry it in jeans front pocket.

Dust on the outside I presume? Any issues with dust getting underneath and stuck to the phone itself?

I meant dust on the inside. It gets caked up all around the inside edges of the case in my experience.

I've only had mine for 2 days but I really like it despite the reviews I have read since the case came out. Mind you I had a $25 Apple gift card so I only paid about $18 out of pocket. Case is nice and tight. Buttons while aren't clicky, are still responsive to me and not mushy at all. Fingerprint magnet for sure but that doesn't bother me at all.

Only regret by having this case is not buying one of the colored XR's, I went with black. Would have loved to have gotten either the red or white. Both would have looked really slick with this case on it.

I tried the Caudabe Lucid Clear as was less than half of Apple case price here, looks great and smudges are not too bad, fits tight and buttons good but its just so slippery, worse than no case.

I bought mine few days ago with some discount. I'm very disappointed. Case is very big and magnet for any type of dust from inside. After one day caring it in my pocket its full of dust and other stuff from my pocket :). Its also very slippery almost like without case. It's very hard, so removing it from phone is very hard thing and I'm curious that I crack it or my phone. Only one positive is that it's clear so I can see my productRED color :).

The best case I ever have is one from our local company - Lemory Leather Case. But it's not transparent. https://www.lemory.cz/products/obal-air-pro-iphone-xr-kozeny?variant=13489509335101

I actually bit the bullet and got an open-box excellent Apple XR clear case the other day. It’s only been a couple of days so I cant comment on the durability over time, but I’d agree that it is slick to hold, but extremely comfortable in my opinion. The fit is really tight which was important to me. Dust isn’t getting under the case, but does build up around it and it is definitely a finger print magnet.

This makes me really wish they made a leather or silicone case for the XR, but I guess this will do for now.

i’ll update this as time goes on.

Just an update...after a week I started getting the bubbles on the back and an insane amount of finger prints. Decided to return it.

I really loved the fit of the case and otherwise would have been great but really not worth the money, though I haven’t found anything to be as slim and fit as great.

Mine arrived today, but think I’ll be sending it back as it fits nicely but it’s also not worth the money.

Ordered myself a Mujjo leather case for the same money.

I had a clear case for my previous iPhone 7 and it started to yellow by the half year mark. I emailed the company and they said there is no way around the yellowing of cases as all plastics that are clear will oxidize.

Polycarbonate shouldn’t yellow

Tpu or thermal poly urethane I think it’s called, will. Only thing that should yellow if anything is the buttons

The shell shouldn’t. People who have said they’ve had the case for 2 months haven’t hasn’t any issues

This is true but most decent companies will send a replacement case.

So slim? It's biggest case that I have for XR!
How does it fit compared to the Apple clear case? Is it as thin?
Apple clear case is definetely not thin. Its very big and fat! I don't have any other case that is that big.

I have small hands and it fit really well in them. If not the thinness of the case, it must but the design making it very comfortable to hold in one hand.
What case do you use?

I have few cases, but the best for me is this - https://www.lemory.cz/products/obal-air-pro-iphone-xr-kozeny thinnest leather case
:). I have it with my own designed engraving.
But it's not transparent, so I cant see my stunning RED color :)). That's why I bought also Apple clear case.

You are definitely right, the back side was polycarbonate but the entire sides are usually polyurethane so that it absorbs the fall. The entire sides were yellow.
