So far I'm quite impressed. I'm at 4 hours of usage and 19 hours of standby. My usage is 3g and wifi and playing with settings. Still at 50% battery.

I think with my 3gs I would have had to charge by now.

I still haven't charged mine, 15 hours standby with about 3 hours usage I'm usually running pandora in the background while using safari.

3G and wifi on.

Interesting. Mine seems to be about the same as my 3GS. I'm actually a little disappointed. I may run it all the way down to make sure to "reset" the meter.

Awesome!

Mine has been great. 1st day on a full charge 6 1/2 hours of usage and 26hrs of standby.

Fantastic, I used the hell out of it yesterday and got 6 hours 30 minutes usage with around 13 hours standby. It was all use for gaming, internet (3G, no wifi), and messaging (with a few calls here and there)

Right now my usage is 7 1/2 hours and standby is 9 1/2 hours my battery is at 18%. The battery percentage would be higher but most of the usage was streaming Sirius and watching TV with slingplayer. In contrast just using the Sirius app like I do everyday my battery is usually dead around 12:30 or 1 and that's without streaming any video. The battery life on the iPhone 4 is a big improvement over the 3GS.

I have a feeling I might have a defective iphone 4. The battery ran down over night with just Wifi active. And today I am at 1 hr 2 mins usage with 8.5 hrs standby and I'm at 55%. I've turned off location services and bluetooth and mail fetch. Anything else I might try?

Huge improvement from my 3G. Typically if I don't put my phone on the charger at work it'll die around 4:30-5, and that's just from maybe a few phone calls and text and a couple of tweeds. Today with my i4 I downloaded apps, surfed the web and everything and I'm still at 31%!

I'm in the same boat. Mine isn't as bad as yours, but I'm not getting near the life I expected given other folks' reviews.

Same here. I'm coming off the 3G so the battery life is better, but not by much. It has me suspicious as to what phones the media outlets are using to do their reviews that they get such fantastic life.

Mine is worst than my 3gs, but it takes a little while to train these batteries. My 3gs used to suck but I got it running great by the end.

Rock solid, better than my old berry and iPhone 3G.

Right now, 6 hours of usage, and 1 day, 1 hour of standby.

I'm at 14% left. It'll probably die tonight, but, whatever. I opened it yesterday around 5 and most people have been playing with it all day (thats what she said).

I have a question...I figure I mighht as well post it in here:

When I first get my iPhone4, do I let the battery drain all the way for best performance? Or do I charge it then let it drain? Do I even let it drain out at all? lol.

First charge was in line with the 3GS. Second charge (today) was a pretty big improvement. Not like a  improvement but it's definitely at least 15% or so better than before.

I'd be interested to know as well.

Doing what though, since that’s kind of important?

Heavy usage. Lots of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare Etc). Scrabble, Pandora... :). Playing a lot with Face Time, camera and video. About thirty mins of talk time.
