HP "idle" printer issue with Sierra beta 2

I've seen this phenomenon during previous iterations of an OS--even a few years back. It seems to be recurring with the beta 2.

My HP printer was having its troubles even before this, but now every print goes to "idle." Ironically I can still print via wireless printing--not wired though.

I am having the same problem and I don't have a wireless enabled printer. I deleted all the files in /library/printer/ and re downloaded the HP printers and it worked to print one document. An hour later, it was back to not available. I cannot do the routine each time but I need to print.
