HP Officejet 4500 Scanning Problem...

Hello,

I am trying to scan from my HP Officejet 4500 Allinone, but it is not working. the error message reads "The san cannot be performed because another program has control of the HP imaging device. ...."

I try the troubleshooting steps, nothing works.

Is it possible to use the scanning function of this all-in-one from a mac?

I have the exact same problem...

I have a MacBook Pro which i got in Summer 10, and I get the same error message. I have a Windows 7 HP Laptop and no problems at all scanning. I am stuck too...any help greatly appreciated.
