Hey.
I just bought a Macbook (which I'm exchanging soon for a MBP, but that's not the point) and got the "free" HP Photosmart 3180 something-or-other all-in-one printer-copier-scanner blah blah blah.
I know that these things aren't particularly hot, but hey, it was free.
I installed the included software so's I could use the scanner. The next time I repaired permissions, a TON of stuff was listed as repaired, all of it stemming from this new printing software...
Anyone else had experience with this? Is there a way to scan from this thing without installing the HP software? Will this cause problems? The permissions seem to have stayed repaired, but...

Nah... as long as it's a one time thing I wouldn't worry too much, it got repaired, didn't it...? Just Repair Permissions doing its job... 😉
