I hope it and the new Sprint phone do VERY well.

That'll improve the iPad quicker and get iphone wifi hotspot function built-in sooner rather than later* :D

* or should I be saying "force Jobs to do now what should have been already done" ;)

Looks like crap, just like most of us expected. Can't believe people actually get done using their desktop or laptop computer and then think it would be great to do the same things, only with one finger as input. Desktop software just doesn't translate to the tablet form. Apple got the winning formula with a product that offers a truly unique experience.

The glare and reflection on that are terrible. Even the iPad isn't that bad. HP has been too glossy on everything lately.

With millions of dollars in R&D and engineers, this is the best they can come up with?

It's a pre-production device - much like the photos of the iPhone "4G" we have seen.
Perhaps, but if the released specs are final, I reiterate the "meh". Smaller screen size, smaller resolution, less than half the battery life, no quick boot or instant on, and having come from an actual computer tablet running Windows 7...it wasn't bad, but you could always tell exactly what it was, a mouse/pointer based interface pigeon-holed into a touchscreen interface.

I would have given it some serious consideration if it wasn't so thick, I want something light and not a chore to carry.

For all we know, it might not be.

Also, I recall seeing that the back of the device wasn't like the one seen in the photos.

How in the world is he holding that thing with his fingers like that? Magnet-o fingers! :D
