Hey, gang. I'm going to purchase the above monitor. I would like to know which cables to buy so I can use HDMI, and if I could buy them from monoprice?

Thanks!

That monitor has a HDMi port so you just need a standard HDMi cable. If you want to connect your MBP through HDMi, I'm not sure if this is possible as there isn't a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter.

Oh I have that monitor. It's really nice, I just recommended it in another thread. I plug a mini-DVI to DVI adapter (such as this one http://store.apple.com/us/product/M9321G/B ) into my MacBook, and hook that up to a DVI-to-HDMI cable (such as this one http://store.apple.com/us/product/TL952LL/A ), plugging the HDMI end into my monitor. There isn't a mini-DVI to HDMI cable out there that I know of, but this works perfectly for me. :)

I just talked to a Monoprice rep. and they said to buy a mini-display port to HDMI adapter cable, and then a regular HDMI cable. Thanks for everybody's advice.

Just wanted to update on my last post. I never knew that an HDMI to mini-DVI cable existed, but evidently, they do: http://www.amazon.com/PTC-Mini-DVI-Adapter-6ft-Macintosh/dp/B001H0REVK

Back when I bought my mini-DVI to DVI and DVI to HDMI cables I was in too much of a hurry to really look into it, and the guy at the Apple store said that that was the only solution, so I just went with it. Hmm. Does anybody else know if these things work well?
