Use blutetooth for the photos. If that fails, email them to you

I don't know about the HTC sense, but when I had a galaxy a while back I could always just plug the phone in via USB and then access the micro sd from there.

Use image capture app to get it.

Did you try AutoMount app? It mounts your SD card directly. Never tried with OSX though!

Use the Automatic Camera Upload feature and it will sync the photos with your computer for you!
