I wouldn't worry about HTML5 at this point. It's in draft form and video playback is very hard to do in most browsers as each browser has chosen to go different routes in what movie formats to support in the video tag. What works in Safari won't likely work in Firefox and vise-versa, as well as IE not being able to handle things at all. It'll be at least another year before most web designers will be implementing the video tag if not longer.
